So today, we had two police officers come our class to talk to us all about road safety, alcohol and drugs.

Some of the class already knew most of the things that they told us, i actually learned alot.

Before this talk, i didn't actually know hiw long alcohol can be in your system for.

I learnt alot today, and ill be making sure I'm safe on the road.

Hero, Work, and Cat Scatching Pole.

I joined a group on Thursday, and I helped them finish off their cat scratching poles, buy painting the undercoat and helping carry things around.
The group consisted of Abby, Jaiden and Sam.

This weekend I worked every day, and I also had the responsibility of opening the shop by myself.
That involves turning on al the machines, cleaning out and filling the pasta machine, cleaning out the dishwasher, and many other things. It was quite busy on the day I opened, I had a few people eating in the restaurant as well as pick up and delivery orders.

I finished my first booklet at federation training last night, and I'm going to be doing an oral presentation on my hero as such Robin Williams. He is not just my hero, but many others, he is a hero for them aswell.

Queens Birthday Long Weekend

For the Queens birthday long weekend, My Dad, my younger sister, my dads partner and her two daughters went on a trip to Milang, in South Australia. We were going because it was my dads partners, nan's 90th birthday and they were having an afternoon tea.

The trip took about 11 hours just one way, that was including stops for lunch, and filling the car up with petrol. The car trip was not enjoyable, because I was car sick, but other than that, we watched movies the whole way.

On the Saturday, we went to a wildlife park, about twenty minutes away from where we were staying. There were all Australian animals, We got to feed kangaroos, emus, and wallabies, and I seen a girl get chased by an emu.

We were also staying in a holiday house, with another 6 people, family friend I hadn't seen in years. We ended up pulling out some charades and all discovered that it's a lot harder to play than you would think.

On Sunday, we all went to the afternoon tea, I met a lot of people on my dads partner side of the family, and I also ate a lot of cakes. That night I went out for dinner with more people and got a parma.

Monday we had to drive back, and once again I was car sick, which made the car ride seem even longer than it was. I think we watched about 10 moves all up.

This is some of the work Genna and I did at the hall last week. Dave gave us a large piece of ply wood, an we decided to make something for the VRI Hall, to make it look more appealing and welcoming.

Last week we finished making our sandwich boards. Abby, Genna and I painted them in bright colours. We've also been planning our formal, sorted out some venue options, prices and I've been put in charge of music. Genna and I also have a project to raise money towards our camp at the end of the year. We're going to be making tie dye t shirts. If we sell everything we should get back about $400 dollars once we've paid everything back.

My week at Fed Training

Last week, On Monday, we wrote our own resumes and cover letters, I already had a resume but I fixed mine up, and made it more appealing.
On Tuesday did khan academy for maths, we meditated, and discussed different ways that could help you in a job interview.
On Wednesday we had to leave early, as the internet was down, so we couldn't continue with the set program. We made pancakes in the kitchen, and a few of the students went to the sound room, playing guitars, and Leeshy and I played the piano.
On Thursday, we went down to the VRI Hall, and Genna, Abby and I painted the stage a second coat of paint. We also helped build a chair and I got to wear a belt with all the tools a builder has to use. It was very heavy.

Music and Formal Planning

Last Thursday at the VRI Hall Taneeka and I were practising a song and playing piano so we could perform together. I played piano, and Taneeka sang. We played Help, by John Farnham, and Lean On Me.
Yesterday, A big group of us were planning formal. We discussed the theme, the dates, photography at the venue, prices and all sorts of other things. Madison was the leader of the group and she's been put in charge of everything to do with the formal.

Pizza and Milkshake day!

On Monday, we made and sold pizza and different flavoured milkshakes to students and teachers around the tafe. We were selling these because we are trying to raise money for camp, which is in September I believe. We made around 100 dollars profit, from selling everything we made. I was in charge of making the pizzas, which was good for me because I work in a pizza shop. We all got good feedback from everyone saying how good the pizza and milkshakes tastes.

Starting at Fed Training!

I started going to Federation training on Thursday last week, we spent the day in the VRI hall, designing and making sandwich boards. We discussed different techniques and ways to make the sandwich board weather proof, and easy transportation. We also discussed ways that we could get the publics attention towards the sign.
On Monday, we were in one of the rooms in the Federation training building, and spent the day discussing ways we'd be fundraising to raise money for camp in October. We will be having a formal, which is being organised by a committee of students in the class. We discussed marketing and were also talking about dealing with money. My job, is to organize a pizza and milkshake day, making the pizza's with a few other students in the class. We also discussed where we would be getting the ingredients for the pizza's and milkshake, and how much profit we would be making from it.
